About Us

Conveyco provides applications focused, purpose built solutions for organizations requiring goods handling conveyor systems that functions completely in today's demanding business environment specializing on “Turnkey” solutions. We deliver this through our collective skills and years of experience. Our client base comprises of individuals, business and corporate institutions.

All of our equipment gets manufactured from our 3800m² factory in Blackheath, Cape Town, South Africa. Conveyco was founded in 1961 by Neville Smit and Bob Sharp as Cape Conveyors and in 1977 became Conveyco (Pty) Ltd. Over the years the product range grew to include all industries such as agricultural pack sheds, fishing industry, bulk handling, bottling, canning, automotive, airports and clothing retail industry. We have more kilometres of conveyors installed in South Africa than any three of our local opposition competitors combined and we offer a larger range of conveying equipment than most of our local competitors. Conveyco designs, manufacture and installs all equipment. We also do maintenance and servicing of equipment and have permanent teams in Cape Town, Durban & Johannesburg.

Neil Muller has been with Conveyco from 1996 and has held the position of Managing Director since 2000.

Randall Christian is the Production Director and has been with the company from 1992.

Dee Smit is the Financial Director and has been with the company from 1988.

Everard Smit is the Engineering Director and has been with the company from 1980
